About The Nurse Practitioner-Karen O'Day

Karen is proud to be New Mexico born and raised. Born in Las Cruces, spending her younger years in Albuquerque, and graduating from Farmington High School in 1983. She graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing from New Mexico State University in 1985, and spent a brief time in New England, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph's College, Standish, Maine in 1998. After returning to New Mexico, she received her Masters in Nursing as a Nurse Midwife in 2000, and her Post-Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2001, both degrees received from the University of New Mexico. She received her MBA in 2013 from Columbia Southern University, and has recently completed the didactic portion of Medical School from the International University Of The Health Sciences.

From 2001-2010 Karen was the CEO and sole Practitioner of New Mexico Primary Care & Midwifery Services, Inc, in Edgewood, which was donated to the University of New Mexico, Nurse Practitioner program, in 2010. After spending 6 years obtaining extensive Ear, Nose, and Throat training in New Hampshire, she returned to New Mexico to provide family health care once again in her home state. Now proud to be providing Primary Care Health Services to residents of the Santa Fe and the surrounding areas with the opening of her business, EverCare Family Practice LLC. Karen is married to Dr. James M. O'Day with whom she enjoys sharing office space with his Audiology practice. Karen has 2 adult children, her son Aaron and daughter Amanda.
